Pear and Avocado salad

Ingredients:

  • 2 large ripe comice pears
  • 2 large ripe avocados
  • juice of 1/2 lemon
  • sea salt
  • freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 1/2 oz (1 1/2 c.) watercress

Instructions:

  1. Peel and core the pears, then slice them downwards  into thin sections.  Sprinkle with the lemon juice, salt and pepper.
  2. Halve and peel the avocados and remove the pits.  Cut the avocados, too, into long thin slices.
  3. Put a few watercress leaves on each plate, then arrange alternate slices of pear and avocado on top.
